News 2005

August 7: Well, looking at these pages, I see there hasn't been much up-dating around here this past year. In fact this has been a year with much turmoil and any changes. I hope we can catch up with the downloads very soon (we're working ver hard to get things done, including a major expansion to the basic game. The only download we have added is a complete set of the game (so you can download it completely with 1 click). All the cards, manuals, boards and accessories have been gathered 1 just one file for your convenience. One of or visitors brought it under our attention and we fixed it immediately. So if you haven't downloaded the game yet,  just  go to the download pages and follow the links.

January 7: Well...... the first update for 2005 is a fact. It concerns our RPG forum, which is becoming quite popular it seems and is growing rather fast at the moment. Maybe this is a result of opening the player boards to the public (which is the update actually), so every guest can see what's going on in the player sections and can read the great stories which are being run and played in there. We have opened them up with the future expansion (which will be active around the middle or end of February) in mind. We are working very hard to translate the Infinite Quest board game into a very exciting Play-By-Post forum game to give you a deep RPG experience and plenty of room for character development. Our world Calania will come to live before your very eyes when the new boards open up.

This way you can play at any time of the day and meet people with the same interests (Fantasy and RPGs). We have our own chatroom in the forum where all the members can chat with each other (provided there are any members around of course) and many other features to make your stay a pleasant one.

News 2004

December 29: Updated the linkpages again. Added about seven new links for various resources. This concludes the updates for a tumultuous year. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year, with lots of health, luck and many hours of gaming pleasure.

September 21: Published the first contributions from our visitors. Pictures from painted miniatures by two members of our community, named Ragazzi and Sedryn. Both are starting painters, but the results look very promising. Check them out on our contribution page. Don't forget to respect their copyright. The pictures may not be published in any way, and may only be downloaded for your personal viewing pleasure. Hopefully there's more to follow, but that's up to you. Adventures and pictures are always welcome, so check the contribution page  for details for sending your contributions.

August 7: Published the sixth chapter of our interactive story (A gruesome time), named: Down the drain/up the tower. To be found on our download page. Our heroes have safely escaped the underground labyrinth. They discover a secret entrance into the tower of Aldrich the necromancer. Once inside, they do some very strange discoveries about the connection between Aldrich and Snake. What evil powers are at work here? Is Snake still inside the tower? What about the return of a long lost friend? And the disappearance of one of the heroes? Find out and enjoy!

May 15: Today our website is on-line for 2 years. And as an old Chinese saying goes: He who celebrates his birthday, gives away a treat. What do we give away then? Well over the past 2 years, many people have asked us if it were possible to play our game on-line. Thinking about the possibilities, we came up with a forum based variant of our game. It works like this: You register to the Infinite RPG forum. You will be assigned to one of the participating groups and will develop a character. Once the group has enough members, you will be going on an adventure. Our GM tells a story, and your character will be a part of that story. He/she will find treasures, meet fabulous monsters, and interesting people that inhabit our world Calania. There are some forum rules which apply for every participant (they can be found here. Read this carefully before you decide to register please), to make this forum-game an enjoyable feature for everyone. Hope to see you there.

May 2: Today our forum crashed for the first time. AAAAaaaaarrrggghhhh **Major Panic**. I'll be working my butt off to get the darn thing working again (even if it takes me all day [hope not]). Well, there's enough to do on the rest of the site, so take a look over there in the mean time. Why not try the chatroom for a change. You can find the link in the portal. Just click the dragons above and you will be transported there.

May 2: At 12 AM the problem was fixed. Our forum is up and running again.

April 25: Published the fifth chapter of our interactive story (A gruesome time), named: What's beneath the surface? To be found on our download page. Our heroes have entered an underground labyrinth. After Moloch has wandered off, the group is split up. Can they find him back? And what about the green monster which is supposed to roam underground? Find out and enjoy!

April 18: Opened up the "Infinite Chat Room". There you can chat (after registering of course) with other visitors that are online. It's a part of the interactive part of our website. You can discuss on- and off topic, while the forum is meant just for RPG related topics.

April 13: Updated the linkpage again, with some great links. There's one from "the forge"  from Poland which, in my humble opinion, is very promising. Not a true game link, but for games/dungeon masters it certainly can be a great resource for adventures and ideas. Check it out on the linkpage.

April 8: Today we have added a poll section on our site. By filling it out, you can help us improve our site and game, so please do. It will only take a little effort and time from your side, and will be much appreciated by us.

January 27: The first update for 2004 has been placed on our download page. It is the fourth chapter of our interactive story: "A gruesome time". The title is: The day after the full moons. Enjoy.

January 1: No news for 2004 yet, but we wish all our visitors a happy, healthy and prosperous 2004. Hope to see you back in Calania.

May 30: In our forum, a  great topic for Games masters/Dungeon masters has been posted. It deals with the ecology of creating your dungeons. You should definitely check this out. If you want to ventilate your own opinion about the subject, you can register and join in. Click the forum button on the left, to go there, or Follow this link

May 12: Finally we have our forum in working order. It's an open discussion forum for all RPG- players and Games masters. Because we have started this feature only recently, we need your help to make this a successful section. You can register for free, and participate on all boards after your first Log-in. Follow this link, or click the Forum button on the left to go to our bulletin board.

May 1: As of today, we operate from a new server and hope to serve our visitors better this way. We haven't changed too much on our site (just a new picture gallery and polished a few writing errors), but from now on we have a guest book and have secured our download and adventure pages with a login (username/password) option. The login will only be used for the new material which we will publish in the future. You can still download the basic game and adventures on our download and scenario page. From time to time we will add a  poll on our site  so you can give your opinion about certain subjects. The polls will be found at the bottom of our portal (the page with all the buttons). We would really appreciate it if you would fill them out, so we can improve our game and site contents.

April 21: Today we have put our message board on-line. On this message board you can post anything you want, as long as it has something to do with our Game or RPG's in general. So if you're looking for other players in your neighborhood, or you have some old games or miniatures for sale: put them in the message board and others will react. You can use the Forum button or this link to get there. The rules are explained on the Forum page.

March 15: Well, it's been a while since we have updated these pages, but hey, have we got something for you now. We have restyled and expanded our World section. In this section, we are proud to present to you the artwork of John Richards, an American Artist who contacted us recently. He wanted to donate some great  works of art to our cause, and we're very honored to publish it. We've used his drawings (made with pen and ink) to illustrate the new pages. You can view the original drawings (at full size) by clicking the pictures in the pages. You can find the link under the buttons of our main page (Just click the book to enter).  Some additional art of John can be found on the Arts pages. We're going to put up a button soon, but 'till then you have to do with this ordinary link or the one on our starting page.

We would really like to know what you think of it (the Artwork and the new pages), so if it's not too much trouble you can send an E-mail to us through the following link:  Drawings and Artwork. We would really appreciate it.

January 29: A new adventure has arrived on our scenario page. It's called "the lost souls", and is complete with extra rooms, accessories, cards and rules. The extra rooms are only available in this adventure pack, and cannot be downloaded anywhere else. So if you want them, download the "Souls Pack".

January 15: Not much news yet, but we have added a few new links on the Link page. A new adventure is coming up any day now, so come back soon. Just a few translations and it will be on our scenario page.

News 2002

December 24: Today we have placed the Encyclopedia Magica in the download section. It can be used to translate the Runes, used in our Game. If you want to receive these Runes to use in your own adventures, all you have to do is E-mail us at: productions@infinitequest.net and we will send you a zip file, containing the Runes.

We at Infinite Quest, wish you all a very Merry Christmas an lots of health and fortune for 2003. Hoping to see you  back in Calania next year. The adventure is only just beginning.

November 9: Today we have placed a City Gamingboard in our download section. You can use this board to start a Game. The players can buy items at the shops, or go into the tavern for the latest gossip. The Gamesmaster can also use it, to plunge the players into a new adventure.

Inside a deep, hidden dungeon, we have found someone who wanted to contribute  Artwork to our game and site. We hope this can give our site a new look and feel.  At the moment he is releasing his sick mind on a blanc piece of paper. Have patience, the first results will be online soon.

October 23: Well, at last we have our first adventure online (sorry, it has taken so long, but we had to translate everything from Dutch to English). We could say our servers or computers were down, or we have had technical problems, but we're not. We admit we're just lazy bastards ;-), but finally it's here. You can find it on the scenario page and it's called "the portrait". Don't forget to download the gaming board and the rooms & corridors, otherwise the scenario is useless. Have fun !!!!

September 15: We are on the roll now. Today we have published the downloadable Gaming Manual. You can find it on our download page.

September 14: Great news !!! Today we have reached the first place in the RPG-Gateway top 50. We would like to thank everyone who has voted for us. We really appreciate the support. As a bonus to celebrate this fact, we have decided to pre-release "the Temple" for a limited time. This floor plan was in fact made, for a future adventure we are working on. But we are so exited that we couldn't keep this one from you. You can  download "the Temple" here

September 12: Because the painting section is taking a lot of work and time, we have added a few new links to some great  miniature sites on the web. Here you can find al lot of tips on painting your figurines. (Beware !! There is one site linked [Jens' Page] that can make you decide to stop painting. Damn...., this Girl can really paint). For those, who have great confidence in their own painting skills: you can find this link on the Link page.

September 1: Today we have added about 20 pre-generated characters for the Game (10 male and 10 female). For every profession used in the game, we have made 1 male and 1 female character. All you have to do, as a Gamesmaster, is to add the characters' statistics on our character sheet. You can find the statistics of each characters' profession in the character list. Everything can be found in the Download Section.

August 25: If you have been on our site before, You can see we have restyled everything. We also have added a picture gallery, and have a new download section, with examples of what you will download, and some brand-new downloads. We have also changed our downloads (which were made, using MS office) to PDF files, so now everyone can use them. So, if you want to use the files; like the monster list, Character list, Character sheet and so on, You'll need Acrobat Reader to view and print them. We did this, because we had some comments of people, who didn't have MS office on their computer (like MAC users). So now you see, it pays off to mail your comments to us. WE LISTEN to you people.

We are still working on the adventures in English (sorry about this). We will try to put them in our adventure section as soon as possible. Please come back from time to time, to check the adventure section.
